This week’s teacher spotlight is on Ms. Littles.
Q: What is your favorite teaching memory at VCS?
A: I would have to say I do not have a single favorite teaching moment, but many. Some of the many would be when students' faces light up when they finally get a concept or do well on a project. When a student talks to me about a personal issue they are having or shares an experience they felt comfortable enough to come to me about. I love helping students and loving them like they are my very own!
Q: What is your favorite thing about VCS?
A: My favorite at Valley..hmmm that is tough. I love the students, faculty, and staff! If I had to pick a favorite, I would have to say it’s the boy's basketball team (whomever that may be) They work so hard and put everything they have into getting better! I’ve seen these students come during COVID and work out and come every single day in the summertime to get better. I love the togetherness and respect they have for each other and their coaches! It’s nice to see them mature athletically, academically, and personally as young men throughout the season and the school year! I am a boy Mom so I guess I’m biased..lol!!
Q: What's something not many people know about you?
A: Something not many people may know is that:
I’m a licensed Missionary in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), I have a dog named Rocco that I got from the no-kill pet shelter in Parma (Cleveland), I love to travel, I played the viola in junior high and high school and played with the Youngstown Symphony, and I have 8 living siblings.
Q: What are your future goals?
A: I want to own an IT/Consulting/Coaching Business, I want to visit all 50 states, I want to travel the world to as many countries as possible, and I want to bring attention to technology to as many young people as possible as that is the future!
Q: What's something you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: I love to travel, exercise, and love more sleep!
.
Q: What's your farewell message to underclassmen students and teachers?
A: Love God, love yourself, and love others. Be unapologetically YOU! Respect everyone and give each other grace, and be kind.
Q: What's something you're involved in at Valley?
A: Basketball - announcing and music, computer department, and staff volleyball
Q: What are three words that best describe you?
A: Kind, Considerate, No nonsense
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: Traveling, shopping, learning new technology
Q: Knowing what you know now, what would you tell your younger self?
A: Go for it, be all in, trust the process, and God is in control
Q: What's your dream vacation?
A: Turks and Caicos
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and how would you use it?
A: Teleport
