Hello VCS Families,
We are praying for this to be an amazing school year. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. — Psalm 1:1-2

If you have uniforms at home that no longer fit your child, please consider donating to our school. This helps change students if needed during the school day.
Every student in Ohio needs to attend school every day. Attendance studies routinely show the connection between regular attendance and critical school measures such as reading proficiently, performing well academically, and graduating from high school. Please ensure your child is here every day by 7:25 unless they are sick. If a student misses school, you must send a note to the office when they return with a valid excuse for the absence to be excused. Any students on the Edchoice scholarship with 20 unexcused absences will lose their scholarship from the State of Ohio.
This is the new attendance policy for the entire district:
After 14 hours (2 Days) of unexcused absences or 35 Hours (4 days) of total absences,
a school administrator will contact the custodial parent.
After 28 hours (4 Days) of unexcused absences or 42 hours (6 days) of total
absences, an intervention team will meet with the student and custodial
parent/guardian to develop a support plan.
If the school's efforts do not result in improved attendance, a student may
be required to withdraw from school after 42 hours (6 days) of unexcused
absences or 70 hours (10 days) of total absences.
Please check FACTS daily to review your student’s behavior, academics, and attendance. If you do not have an account, please follow this link to set one up:https://www.vcsohio.org/facts
If you are changing your child’s dismissal method, i.e., from bus to car rider or car rider to bus, please call the office at 330-788-8088 by 1:45 pm to ensure Ms. Zinz can make the changes in KIDaccount.
Please check our Website for other relevant information: https://www.vcsohio.org/
We also have an Intermediate Facebook and Instagram page:
As a reminder, the tardy bell rings at 7:24. Please ensure your student is at school by 7:15 to be ready for 1st period. Coming to school late or leaving early affects student performance in the classroom.
A legal parent or guardian must accompany any Intermediate students attending all games/activities, either home or away. In addition, we will call parents or guardians to pick up their students if they try to attend a game/activity on their own.
Please do not drop your student off on the street in the morning. Instead, please pull into the half-circle to release your student so we can ensure their safety.
Please pull up further in the half-circle so more cars can fit at arrival and dismissal.
